News.com.au reported Bank of Queensland EFTPOS machines rolled from to 01 Jan 2016 rather than 01 Jan 2010. Retailers reported losses as unable to process electronic transactions.
As one commentor noted - it is a Y2.01K bug!
Time to spruce up this blog. Recently my thoughts on software testing have started to move to Continuous Integration, Continuous Delivery, DevOps and Customer Testing. Some of this coming from a new startup I am implementing some of these concepts into our development processes. So time to change the name from "Software Testing and Evaluation Thoughts" to "Continuous Quality". So how to inject Quality into our Continuous Delivery processes???
Problem reported as fixed. The "glitch" affected 15,000 EFTPOS terminals.
